Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

This novel has been rated, reviewed and read so much that it can still be found on bestseller lists.  Even a year after its publication, it is still on the Washington Post's list and the New York Times' list.  And if you somehow have missed hearing about Gone Girl, you will have a chance to see it on the big screen as it goes into production in September.  The story is a clever mixture of a missing wife, an unfaithful husband and a diary.  The book is written in alternating first-person narrations.
